    Precautions for using droppers

    Time:2016-08-31Publisher:Xingyuan

A dropper is a type of tube used to aspirate reagents, which uses plastic as the raw material. The dropper is widely used in the experimental process, and its function is to aspirate a small amount of liquid into other containers

In terms of appearance, a dropper is a glass tube with one end stretched thin. Its capacity is suitable for the transfer of small amounts of liquid. On the other end, there is a latex head that can control the amount of liquid absorbed. The principle is to use the principle of atmospheric pressure. When using it, a portion of the air is sucked away from the straw. Various droppers (24 pieces) will cause the pressure inside the straw to decrease, and in order to balance the pressure, the strong atmospheric pressure will force the liquid inside the straw to rise. When the squeezing stops, the liquid inside the tube decreases and the pressure returns to equilibrium

When using a dropper, attention should be paid to dropping the liquid vertically and in the air, and it should not be attached to the test tube or other vessels (except for certain specific requirements). And the solution should not be sucked into the latex head during use to avoid contamination of the latex head

After using the dropper, if there is no substance that is particularly difficult to remove adhering to the tube wall, it can be cleaned and dried before continuing to use. Conversely, if the straw wall is found to be difficult to remove, it should be discarded. When placing the dropper, it should not be placed randomly on the table to avoid contamination and rolling off
